  Ladder 34

  • Ladder 34 is a 1998 Seagrave Tractor Drawn Aerial. It is equipped with a 7.5 kW on board generator which powers 7500 watts of lighting along with 750 feet of power cord as well as a portable Honda 5500 watt generator. The Aerial ladder is 100' in length with a 250lb. tip load. The Truck carries over 294 feet of ground ladders. There are 4 sets of irons w/"k-tools", 4 pick head axes, 2 sledge hammers and 21 assorted pike poles and hooks, a duck bill lock breaker, hydra ram, porta power tool a large pipe wrench, Shepard's hook, a "can opener" and bolt cutters as well as a Boston axe. Two wet vacs as well as squeegees, and shovels. Also carried on board is a full complement of rope rescue equipment including utility rope, a large area search bag, a RIT bag, seven spare air cylinders and a stokes basket. There are 6 Echo quick vent saws, one echo chain saw and 3 circular saws with various cutting blades. There is an Amkus power unit which powers 1 combo tool and 2 rams. There are a total of 3 positive pressure fans one 24" and two 16" also one 16" negative pressure fan. A roof kit along with salvage covers in a variety of sizes and a chimney kit are also carried on board. Positioned in the officers seat is a gas meter and an Evolution 5000 thermal imaging camera. This piece is also outfitted with a laptop computer which operates On-Scene Explorer for mapping and preplan access. Last but not least are the fire suppression features of this truck. A high rise pack, a bed pipe controlled either at the end of the bed section or from the controls on the turn table. There is a fly pipe that is mounted at the tip of the ladder connected to 100' of 3" hose which is then connected to a manifold on the ground along with a 5" supply and discharge hose so that we can regulate our water pressure to the fly pipe and the bed pipe. There are also two 501 guns, one of which can be mounted on top of the trailer under the Aerial. The above items are just the main pieces of equipment carried on the truck. This piece of apparatus is designated as Truck 34.
 


  Engine 34

  • Engine 34 is a 1998 Seagrave Rescue- Engine. It is equipped with a 7.5 KW Onan generator with 400 Ft of power cord. Engine 34 has a 1750 GPM pump with a 500 Gal. booster tank. The engine carries 1500’ of 5”, 300’ of 3”, 1000’ of 1 ¾” consisting of 3- 200’ crosslays, a 100’ trash line, and a 300’ rear preconnect, also equipped is a 200’, 2 ½” crosslay. The engine can seat 6 firefighters and has 5 jumps seats. In the officers seat there is a MSA Evolution 5000 Thermal Imaging Camera, an MSA Orion gas meter, and a laptop which operates On-Scene Explorer equipped with maps and preplans. Also equipped on this piece is a RAT (Rapid Air Transport) pack. The engine also has a full compliment of Amkus rescue tools consisting of 2 spreaders, 4 rams, an O cutter, and Speedway cutter. In addition the piece is equipped with many other tools for vehicle rescue such as 4 Junkyard Dog struts, 3 saws alls, come-along, and an assortment of cribbing. The engine also is equipped with a medical bag and AED. Engine 34 also carries and assortment of other tools such as a set of irons, 2 hooks, a pick head axe, an Echo chainsaw, a Little Giant ladder, ABC extinguisher and a PW. The engine is also capable of performing various forms of rope rescue with various ropes and rigging equipment and a stokes basket.
